Report: Volkan Oezdemir Off UFC 227 Card

Next month’s UFC 227 card will no longer feature Alexander Gustafsson taking on Volkan Oezdemir, as the latter has reportedly withdrawn from the bout.
Oezdemir was booked to face his fellow, light-heavyweight contender on August 4th, but ESPN’s Ariel Helwani is reporting that the fighter’s pulled out due to injury. No details regarding Oezdemir’s injury have been reported.
The UFC is looking for a replacement opponent for Gustafsson, who has not fought since May, 2017, when he defeated Glover Teixeira.
UFC 227 will take place on August 4th in Los Angeles.
