Former PRIDE champ Wanderlei Silva could be headed for shoulder surgery, after a reported cycling accident.

Recently a statement was posted on Silva’s Facebook page which relayed that the legendary fighter was hit by a car, while he was cycling home. The post reportedly states that the 39 year-old fighter will require shoulder surgery. According to a follow up report from MMA Junkie.com, however, Silva’s wife informed the outlet the Brazilian star will meet with his doctors today, to determine if surgery is required.

The UFC veteran hasn’t fought since 2013, when he knocked out Brian Stann. Silva was expected to compete for Rizin FF later this year.
