Despite injuring his left hand at Saturday’s UFC on FUEL TV 6 card in Macao, Zhang Tiequan was able to play his part in one of the event’s more entertaining fights, which saw him lose by unanimous decision to Jon Tuck.

The Chinese and southpaw fighter broke his left thumb during the back-and-forth fight according to a report from MMA Fighting. While no official word has been announced about the injury, or how severe it is, “The Mongolian Wolf” could be sidelined for weeks.

With the loss, Tiequan (15-4) has dropped three straight bouts, after submitting Jason Reinhardt at UFC 127 in February, 2011.

Tuck was making his official UFC debut at this weekend’s card and now carries a record of 7-0.
