Resurrection Fighting Alliance held its latest event on Friday in Prior Lake, Minnesota, and in the main event, Benjamin Smith laid claim to the promotion’s vacant welterweight title.

Smith went on to stop Romero in the third round, and in doing so, extended his record to 14-2. Romerto’s slipped to 24-6.

In the co-main event, bantamweight Melvin Blumer spoiled the return of Jeff Curran, as he KO’d the UFC vet with a backfist in the opening round.
