Ring of Combat 9: KO Chaos
By Jim Genia
(October 29th, Asbury Park, New Jersey) It was a night of sudden knockouts, and surprises at Ring of Combat 9. Over a thousand spectators got to witness more than a few exciting debuts, got to see a storm of leather thrown, and got to cheer on what can only be described as a huge upset in the main event. Highlights of the night included:
- Rhino Fight Team’s scrappy Joe Andujar and his punishing and relentless striking against the game Anthony Spataro.
- Team Tiger Schulmann’s Uriah Hall’s fierce (but brief) kickboxing clinic as he sent Mike Iannone to the canvas.
- Farang Mu Sul’s Marlon Sims as he nailed the short left hook, knocking out jiu-jitsu brown belt Danny Suarez and earning the Ring of Combat belt.
