Rings Usa Final Set For Illinois

RINGS USA
RINGS USA Final Set For Illinois

The first-ever RINGS event in the United States will come to a close September 30, when the survivors of two qualifying tournaments collide in Moline, Illinois, for the final of RINGS USA: Rising Stars event.
The event will start at 7 p.m. at The Mark of the Quad Cities…a 10,000-seat venue that hosts several minor-league sports teams.
The first RINGS USA event began with two 16-fighter tournaments. After events in Orem, Utah, and Honolulu, Hawaii, there are eight fighters still remaining in the tourneys: In the 200-under event it will be Jeremy Horn vs. Hiromitsu Kanehara and Chris Haseman vs. Yasuhito Namekawa. In the heavyweight event it is Bobby Hoffman vs. Eric Pele and Tom Sauer vs. Aaron Brink.
Tsuyoshi Kosaka, who qualified for the finals, had to withdraw after being injured in the RINGS Millennium Combine event last month. Brink, who defeated Harry Moskowitz before losing to Hoffman in the Utah event, has been picked to replace Kosaka.
Also scheduled are some interesting single bouts. Jermaine Andre will face Adrian Serrano; Jack Nilsson will face Nate Schroeder; and Travis Fulton will face Greg Wikan. Matt Hughes, a recent winner in his first RINGS event, may also take part in the event.
Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster outlets. Order by phone at (319)326-1111.
