Rising and undefeated flyweight Tatsuro Taiya has reportedly been booked for his next fight, and it will be against one of the most experienced fighters in the division, Tim Elliot.
The 24-year-old Taira (15-0) has gone 5-0 in the UFC to date. Most recently, in December, the Japanese fighter stopped Carlos Hernandez in the second round.
More recently, Marcel Dorff from Eurosport NL reported that Taira and Elliot will fight at the May 18th, UFC Vegas 92 card. The fighters have also reportedly confirmed the contest.
The 37-year-old Elliot (20-13-1), meanwhile, choked out Su Mudaerji in his last bout, which also took place in December.
The rugged veteran and former title challenger has gone 3-2 in his last 5 fights.
Currently, Taira is ranked #13 in the UFC’s flyweight division and Elliott is #9.
