RIZIN 16: Tenshin Naskukawa Receives New Opponent
By FCF
Striking phenom Tenshin Nasukawa has had his opponent changed up for RIZIN 16, just days out from the June 2nd card.
The 20-year-old was scheduled to fight ISKA featherweight champion Ahmed Ferradji at the June 2nd card, however, RIZIN has reportedly announced that the latter has withdrawn “without a valid reason” (report via MMA Fighting). The ISKA has stripped Ferradji of the title, and now Naskukawa (31-0) is going to face ISKA bantamweight champ, Martin Blanco (8-1).
The kickboxing match will be contested at featherweight.
In the aforementioned report, Blanco was quoted saying:
“I am very happy and thankful for fighting in Japan,” Blanco stated in a release. “The fight with Tenshin will be a fight to see who lands the bigger shots. We have a fight plan set for movements and exchanges. We hope for a KO, but will do what it takes to hand the kid his first loss. I look forward in becoming a two-division champion and to take another belt back to my home Argentina.”
RIZIN 16 will take place in Kobe, Japan.
