RIZIN 42 Results: Kai Asakura & Juan Archuleta Advance to Title Fight

RIZIN 42 took place Saturday in Saitama, Japan, and the event saw Kai Asakura and Juan Archuleta lock up a title fight, with their respective wins.

Asakura took out Yuki Motoya with a booming knee to the body in round three, while Archuleta outscored Naoki Inoue in their entertaining bout for the decision win. Following the main event, it was confirmed that Asakura and Archuleta will battle for the vacant bantamweight title later this year.

The card also saw lightweight champ Roberto Satoshi defeat Spike Carlyle for a unanimous decision victory.
