Bellator and RIZIN have booked cross promotional, championship fights between Darrion Caldwell and Kyoji Horiguchi, and Jiri Prochazka hopes the companies agree to do so with him.

Prochazka secured RIZIN’s inaugural, light-heavyweight championship earlier this month by stopping “King Mo” Lawal. Since then, Bellator has announced that the RIZIN bantamweight champ Horiguchi, will face the promotion’s 135 champ Caldwell on June 14th.

Recently Prochazka was a guest on the Eurobash podcast, and while discussing his next bout, the rising fighter said this (quotes via MMA Fighting):

“This is what I’m looking for. I like to have big challenges. I need to feel like my opponents want to take my life. When I fight for my life, I fight at my best and a fight for the Bellator title will be my biggest challenge. This fight would make me show my best skills. My last three fights in RIZIN before the title were not so good. The opponents were good but I didn’t feel like I was under too much pressure,” Prochazka said.

“I pray for that, I want to do that. I would give my life in that fight, I would do anything for it.”

Following RIZIN 15, Prochazka’s overall record now stands at 24-3-1.

Caldwell faced Horiguchi at RIZIN 14 in December, and the latter won the bout via third round, submission (guillotine choke).
