ROAD Fighting Championship announces the next event. ROAD FC 055 will take place on 8 September 2019 in Daegu, South Korea. The main event will be Lee Jeong-Young’s first defense of the Featherweight title against challenger Park Hae-Jin.

ROAD FC Featherweight Champion Lee Jeong-Young (6-1, Ssen Gym) earned his first title in spectacular fashion by defeating two-time champion Choi Mu-Gyeom in a dramatic striking battle. On his run to the championship, he had an amazing second round stoppage of warhorse Brazilian jiu jitsu fighter Marcio Cesar, and avenged his only loss against Se Young- Kim.

Park Hae-Jin (7-0, Kingdom) put himself first in line for the title shot after defeating Evgeniy Ryazanov by rear naked choke at ROAD FC 049. It was his first submission finish in a three-year undefeated career against consistently more experienced opponents. Park has fought in ROAD FC and Japan’s ZST during his burgeoning career.

These two well-rounded and extremely aggressive young prospects are now at the top of the featherweight division, especially with their Brazilian jiu jitsu acumen. This title fight – Lee’s first defense and Park’s most important challenge – will deliver another incredible ROAD FC performance.
