It looked like Robbie Lawler incurred  a leg or knee injury during his bout last night with Rafael dos Anjos, but the former welterweight champ refused to cite the injury, while discussing his defeat.

Midway through the UFC on FOX 26 headliner, it sounded like Lawler told his corner that he had injured his knee. In addition, RDA repeatedly pounded Lawler’s lead leg with kicks, en route to his decision win over Lawler.

After the card, Lawler had this to say, when asked about the possible injury he incurred (quote via MMA Junkie):

“It doesn’t matter,” Lawler said. “He did a great job out there. It just wasn’t my night. He did a great job.”

“I just wasn’t able to do the kind of things I wanted to do,” Lawler furthered. “He took advantage of – he did a great job out there. Landed some good knees. Landed some good punches, couple takedowns.”

Lawler was fighting for the first time since July, when he earned a decision win over Donald Cerrone.
