Ross Pearson doesn’t have his next bout booked, following back-to-back wins over George Sotiropoulos and Ryan Couture, and the British fighter has let it be known he’d like to fight former PRIDE champ Takanori Gomi next.

The lightweight announced his wishes this weekend via Twitter by saying:

Bisping vs Munoz main event at M.E.N i would love Pearson vs Gomi co-main what u think?

Just recently, it was reported that Michael Bisping and Mark Munoz have agreed to fight at the card Pearson referred too, which will take place October 26th, in Manchester, England. Although it hasn’t been announced yet, the card’s expected to be a UFC on FOX Sports 1 event.

Pearson (15-6) recently returned to lightweight and scored the aforementioned victories, after falling to featherweight contender Cub Swanson last June.

Although Gomi (34-9) is coming off a split decision defeat to Diego Sanchez in March, many fans and pundits had the Japanese fighter winning the memorable bout. Prior to the defeat Gomi recorded consecutive wins over Eiji Mitsuoka and Mac Danzig.
