On Saturday, Roy Nelson was stopped for the first time since 2008, and the heavyweight has weighed in on his defeat to Mark Hunt.

Nelson was floored by a second round, right uppercut from Hunt at UFC FN 52, and saw his record drop to 20-10.

After the main event bout, the 38 year-old veteran posted the following comment on his Facebook account:

Thanks everyone for the support, just got caught. Thats what happens in the Hwy division.

The last man to finish Nelson with strikes was Andrei Arlovski, who did so in 2008, when the two fought for Elite XC.

Nelson was coming off a KO win over Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira heading into this weekend’s bout.

The heavyweight is 2-3 now in his last 5 fights.
