David Mitchell Versus Simeon Thoresen Targeted for Jan. 26th Card

Light-heavyweight vets Ryan Bader and Vladimir Matyushenko have agreed to fight at the UFC’s upcoming January 26th in Chicago, the promotion has announced. The bout will be part of the UFC on FOX 6 card which will be hosted by the city’s United Center.

Bader(14-3) hasn’t fought since he was KO’d by former champ Lyoto Machida in August, which followed victories over Jason Brilz and “Rampage” Jackson.

Matyushenko (26-6) hasn’t competed since last December when he was stopped by contender Alexander Gustafsson. Prior to the loss the 41 year-old vet earned back-to-backs wins over Brilz and Alexandre Ferreira.

The UFC has also confirmed that welterweight David Mitchell (11-2) will take on Simeon Thoresen (17-3-1) at the January event.

UFC on FOX 6 will be headlined by a flyweight bout between champion Demetrious Johnson and Jon Dodson and will also feature lightweight Donald Cerrone taking on Anthony Pettis.
