After losing Bellator’s light heavyweight title on Friday, Ryan Bader has posted a statement, in which he vowed he’ll be back better than ever.

Bader faced Vadim Nemkov in the main event of Bellator 244, and was finished by the Russian fighter with a head kick and punches in round two.

Since then, the 37-year-old fighter shared out this statement:

“Well not the result we were after but it’s the game we play. I’m all good and appreciate the support! I freaking hate to lose but as always I’ll keep working my ass off. Lost one belt but still have that heavyweight belt on my shoulder and will be better than ever”

Prior to the loss, Bader (27-6, 1 NC-) had gone undefeated in eight straight bouts.
