Ryan Bader has his next fight booked, as Bellator has announced the champ-champ will face Vadim Nemkov next.

Bader will look to defend the light-heavyweight title against Nemkov at Bellator’s May 9th card in San Jose, California.

The 36-year-old Bader (27-5, 1 no-contest) is coming off a no-contest bout with Cheick Kongo in September. The latter was unable to continue in round one after taking an accidental poke to the eye. That bout followed Bader’s KO win over Fedor Emelianenko in January, 2019, which awarded him the heavyweight title.

Nemkov (11-2) is riding a six-fight winning streak and is coming off a submission win over former middleweight champ Rafael Carvalho in October.

The upcoming card will be hosted by San Jose’s SAP Center.
