Ryan McGillivray, Tim Hague and Ryan Ford Confirmed for September Aggression MMA
By FCF Staff
Edmonton based promotion Aggression MMA has announced that three of the region’s more notable fighters will compete on its next event in September, as rising welterweight Ryan Ford and former UFC competitors Ryan McGillivray and Tim Hague have been confirmed for the card.
No specific date or location has been announced for the event.
McGillivray (11-5-1) will return to action for the first time since the Edmonton fighter lost by unanimous decision to Shamar Bailey at The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale in June. Prior to his run on TUF, McGillivray was coming off a second round, submission win over Markhaile Wedderburn at The Fight Club’s eleventh event in September, 2010.
Hague (12-5) will be looking to rebound from a knockout loss to Matt Mitrione at UFC Fight for the Troops 2 in January, after scoring back-to-back stoppage victories over Zak Jensen and Travis Wiuff for Aggression.
Ford (16-3) recently extended his winning streak to four by stopping Nick Hinchliffe at Aggression’s last event in June. At a MMA Live event in May, Ford scored a TKO win over Karo Parisyan, after ringside physician’s stopped the bout due to a cut that a knee from Ford opened on the UFC vet. Ford will be fighting for the vacant Aggression welterweight title.
