Sage Northcutt Forced to Withdraw From Shinya Aoki Bout

Sage Northcutt’s return to the cage has been postponed, as ONE Championship has confirmed the former UFC fighter will no longer fight Shinya Aoki this month.
Northcutt was scheduled to face the decorated fighter in a welterweight bout on April 28th. But, recently ONE announced that Northcutt is still recovering from symptoms stemming from COVID-19, and will not compete.

Aoki (46-9) will take on the former lightweight champ Eduard Folayang (22-10) instead. The fighters have battled two times before, with each man recording a win.
The 25-year-old Northcutt (11-3) hasn’t fought now since May 2019, when he was knocked out by Cosmo Alexandre and suffered extensive, facial fractures.
