Mike Perry has been garnering plenty of attention in recent months, thanks to a series of violent stoppages he’s recorded in the Octagon. But, fellow rising welterweight, Santiago Ponzinibbio, believes the fighter has yet to face someone with his capabilities.

The welterweights are booked to clash this Saturday at UFC on FOX 26, which will take place in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In advance of the bout, the Argentinean Ponzinibbio had this to say about Perry (quotes via Bloody Elbow):

“He lives in his little fantasy world. Now on the 16th he’s going to be dealt a blow from reality,” said Ponzinibbio, while discussing Perry’s recent back-and-forth with Darren Till, which led to the American calling for a bout with the rising star.

“Truthfully, I’m not interested in how he’s taking this fight,” added Ponzinibbio , “He’s never fought anyone on my level.”

“I’m faster, stronger, more complete, and prettier [than Perry]…”

Ponzinibbio, meanwhile, is riding a five fight winning streak and is coming off a stoppage win over Gunnar Nelson.
