Sean "Big Sexy" McCorkle

The upcoming, December 17th, Australian Fighting Championship card in Melbourne will feature a heavyweight bout between UFC vets Sean McCorkle and Soa Palalei.

The promotion has announced the match-up via its official Facebook account.

McCorkle (16-3) is coming off a stoppage loss to Brian Heden at a Worldwide MMA event in March, after putting together a six fight win streak. McCorkle exited from the UFC last year after he was choked out by Christian Morecraft at Fight Night 24.

Palelei (17-3) has won seven straight fights which includes a 12 second stoppage win over Bob Sapp in the Australian fighter’s last outing. The last man to defeat Palelei is Strikeforce heavyweight Daniel Cormier, who stopped him at a Xtreme MMA event in November, 2010.

Australian Fighting Championship 4 will be hosted by Melbourne’s Pavilion.
