Sean O’Malley to Battle Raulian Paiva Next
By FCF Staff
If all goes according to plan, Sean O’Malley will fight for a third time this year, as it’s being reported the rising fighter will take on Raulian Paiva at UFC 269.
O’Malley recently announced that he will take on the bantamweight contender the December 11th card, following an initial report from ESPN’s Brett Okamoto.
The 26-year-old O’Malley (14-1) has scored wins over Thomas Almeida and Kris Moutinho in 2021, after being stopped by Marlon Vera last year. O’Malley is not currently ranked in the top 15 of the UFC’s bantamweight division.
The 25 year-old Paiva (21-3), meanwhile, is coming off a decision win over Kyler Phillips and has won three straight. Paiva is ranked #15.
UFC 269 is expected to take place in Las Vegas and will feature Dustin Poirier challenging lightweight champ, Charles Oliveira.
