Sengoku Vet Nick Denis Added to UFC Roster
It appears as though the Ultimate Fighting Championship has signed another Senogoku veteran to its ranks, as Canadian bantamweight Nick Denis has been added to the promotion’s online roster of 135lb. fighters.
Despite the addition of his profile, the UFC has not made any official announcement regarding Denis, and FCF was unable to immediately contact the 28 year-old vet to confirm the signing.
Denis (10-2) is coming off a knockout win over Bellator vet Nick Mamalis in October, while competing for Wreck MMA. The win returned the Ronin MMA fighter to the winner’s column, after Denis was submitted by Yuji Hoshino at Sengoku 12, in March, 2010.
Denis’ only other professional loss came at the hands of former Sengoku featherweight champion Marlon Sandro, who KO’d the Ottawa fighter in May, 2009,
After the loss Denis, returned to competition in Canada, and scored back-to-back wins over Jason Townes and Sean Quinn.
