Sergio Pettis Offers Sage Northcutt Advice After Prospect’s First Defeat

Sergio Pettis knows what it feels like to be a highly touted prospect, following your first defeat, and the flyweight offered Sage Northcutt some advice after the latter’s loss last night.
Northcutt was submitted by Bryan Barberena last night at UFC on FOX 18, which ended the fighter’s seven fight winning streak in pro MMA. The defeat also came after months of hype and buzz regarding the 19 year-old fighter.
Following Northcutt’s defeat, Pettis tweeted out the following:

Pettis went 10-0 to begin his pro careeer, before he was submitted by Alex Cacares in 2014. The bout was the second UFC appearance for Pettis.
