By FCF Staff

UFC matchmakers will have some additional work to tackle over the coming days, as today the promotion confirmed that Rob Broughton, Stanislav Nedkov and Siyar Bahadurzada have all been pulled from the upcoming January 14th, UFC 142 card due to injuries.

The tweet that announced the withdrawals did not offer any specific information regarding the nature of each fighter’s injury.

Bahadurzada (20-4-1), who is on a six fight win streak, was scheduled to make his UFC debut against welterweight Erick Silva.

Broughton was set to fight heavyweight Ednaldo Oliveira, while light-heavyweight Stanislav Nedkov was expected to battle Fabio Maldonado.

No replacements have been announced yet.

In addition, according to a report from the Brazilian outlet Tatame.com, welterweight Paulo Thiago has incurred an elbow injury and no longer will be able to fight Mike Pyle as scheduled.

The UFC has made no announcement regarding the reported injury.

UFC 142 will be hosted by Rio de Janeiro’s HSBC Arena and will feature a featherweight bout between champion Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes in the main event.
