By FCF Staff
Shane Carwin is reporting that he’s been offered a fight with Fedor Emelianenko under the Rizin FF banner, but that he’s waiting on the legendary heavyweight to sign the bout agreement.
The 41 year-old Carwin recently announced his intention to return to pro-MMA, after he retired several years ago, due to a rash of injuries. Recently the powerful fighter posted the following tweet:
I did accept a fight with Fedor. He likely won't fight again. I meet with Rizin and they have a great offer but NOTHING is signed.

Carwin hasn’t fought since 2011 when he was decisioned by Junior dos Santos. The massive heavyweight did compete in a boxing match recently against Jason Ellis. Carwin, who had his right arm taped so he couldn’t use it, won the fight via KO.
Emelianenko, meanwhile, won a tightly contested and controversial decision over Fabio Maldonado in his last bout, which took place in June.
