‘Shogun’ Rua likely doesn’t have too many bouts left in his storied career. But, following his most recent win, the legend expressed an interest in fighting Paul Craig again.

Rua faced fellow Brazilian star Antonio Rogerio Nogueira for a third time at UFC Fight Island 3 on Saturday, and he worked his way to another, decision win.

After the bout, the 44-year-old Nogueira announced he was retiring.

While talking about his future with the media, meanwhile, Rua said he’s going to take some time to consider his next moves (quotes via MMA Junkie).

“I (want to) go back to Brazil now and see my family,” the 38-year-old Rua said. “I (want to) relax and talk to my manager, Eduardo (Alonso), for my next fight. … I don’t think about any fight right now.”

Craig also competed at the recent event, and submitted Gadzhimurad Antigulov in the first round. The Scottish fighter battled Rua to a draw in his bout prior, which took place in November.

As a result, Rua was asked about the possibility of a rematch, and the former light-heavyweight champ acknowledged it’s a good idea.

“This is a good option. I want this fight, too,” Rua said. “I want this fight, too. I think (we can do) this fight one more time.”

Rua left UFC Fight Island 3 carrying a record of 27-11-1. Craig, meanwhile, has gone 13-4-1 to date.
