Anderson Silva not only stopped his nemesis Chael Sonnen in dramatic fashion at last night’s UFC 148 card in Las Vegas, but the UFC Middleweight Champion received an extra $75,000 for the impressive win.

Silva was awarded “Knockout of the Night” honors for the stoppage victory, which came after the champion blasted Sonnen to the midsection with a knee and then several follow up punches.

“Fight of the Night” went to Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin for their back-and-forth rubber match, which saw Griffin walk away with the unanimous decision win.

Each man received an additional $75,000 for the FOTN award, which came in the last fight of Ortiz’s career.

No “Submission of the Night” was handed out due to the fact there was no submission wins on the card.

UFC 148 was hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
