Siyar Bahadurzada Announces UFC Signing

By FCF Staff

Days removed from announcing that The Ultimate Fighting Championship had offered him a contract, Siyar Bahadurzada is reporting that he has signed with the promotion. The Golden Glory welterweight made the announcement today via his official Twitter account.

I signed with the @UFC!!!! I’m very excited to be a part of the UFC and test my skills with the crème de la crème of MMA.

Bahadurzada arrives in the UFC having won six straight fights, a run which includes victories over Derrick Noble, John Alessio and most recently Tommy Depret, which saw the 27 year-old-fighter win United Glory’s recent World Series tourney.

I wanna thank the @UFC and @danawhite for this opportunity. I will shake up the ww division!!! Also special thanks to my team Golden Glory!

The Afghanistan born fighter and Shooto champion is currently appearing on the current season of “The Ultiamte Fighter” as one of Jason “Mayhem” Miller’s assistant coaches.

Bahadurzada (20-4) has not lost a fight since November, 2008, when he was submitted by Jorge Santiago while competing for Sengoku.

No information regarding when Bahadurzada will make his UFC debut was given. The promotion has not made any official announcement regarding the reported signing.
