Stefan Struve Announces Retirement

After fighting professionally for over 15 years, heavyweight Stefan Struve has announced he’s hanging up the gloves.
The 32-year-old Dutch fighter, who is coming off a stoppage loss to Tai Tuivasa at UFC 254 in October, recently announced he’s retiring via Twitter. In the statement, Struve reported that an inner ear infection he incurred has likely permanently damaged his vestibular system.

The seven-foot-tall Struve (29-13) joined the UFC back in 2009 and proceeded to go 13-11 with the organization. Struve also announced he was retiring in 2019, following a win over Marcos Rogério de Lima, but he decided to keep fighting.
