Following Stipe Miocic’s win over Alistair Overeem at UFC 203, Jon Jones expressed an interest in fighting the heavyweight champ, and the latter clearly wasn’t upset by “Bones'” comments at all.

Miocic knocked Overeem out in the opening round with ground-and-pound strikes, and afterwards, Jones relayed he would welcome the challenge of facing the Cleveland fighter.

Miocic recently appeared on “Submission Radio” and when asked to weigh-in on Jones’ comments, the heavy handed fighter stated (quote via Bloody Elbow.com):

“It doesn’t bother me, honestly (laughs). Whoever you want me to fight, I’ll fight. Listen, I’m the champ and I’m not going to pick and choose who I fight. Whoever they want me to fight, I’m going to fight. So I really don’t care.”

“Oh that’s cool, man. We’ll have a great fight I think. It shows that I’m doing something right if you want to fight me.”

Jones is currently temporarily suspended, after he was flagged for banned substances, prior to UFC 200. Jones has denied knowingly taking any prohibited substance, and that further, he expects to be back in the Octagon “really soon”. UFC President Dana White has also said that Jones is likely in line for a reduced suspension.
