Strikeforce’s Caros Fodor Moving to UFC, Fighting Sam Stout February 23rd

By FCF Staff

The UFC has confirmed the addition of another Strikeforce vet, the day after the latter announced that it’s partnership with Showtime is coming to an end next month, as it has announced that Caros Fodor will fight Sam Stout February 23rd.

The bout, which was first reported by the Canadian Press, will be part of the UFC 157 card in Anaheim, California.

Fodor (7-2) hasn’t competed since March when he was tapped out by Pat Healy, which ended the lightweight’s five fight winning streak.

Stout (18-8) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to John Makdessi at UFC 154 in November, after handing Spencer Fisher a UD defeat in June.

Earlier on Friday the UFC also announced that Strikeforce welterweight Bobby Voelker is headed to the promotion and will fight Patrick Cote at UFC 158.

On Thursday, it was confirmed that Strikeforce vet Robbie Lawler will also be returning to the Octagon and will fight Josh Koscheck at UFC 157.
