After being submitted by rising contender Pat Healy in March, Strikeforce lightweight Caros Fodor says his next bout will likely take place on September 29th, and not at the promotion’s next event on August 18th.

When asked by Full Contact Fighter if August was a possibility for his next bout, Fodor relayed that September 29th is “more likely.”

The Washington State fighter also said that no opponent has been determined. The September card is expected to take place in Sacramento, California and will feature the final Strikeforce appearance of recent heavyweight grand-prix winner Daniel Cormier.

Prior to facing Healy, the 28 year-old Fodor had won five straight bouts with Strikeforce to establish himself as one of the promotion’s top 155 pound fighters.

During the run, the AMC Pankration fighter scored wins over vets like David Douglas, James Terry and most recently Justin Wilcox, who Fodor knocked out in 13 seconds last December.

Strikeforce’s upcoming August 18th event will be hosted by San Diego’s Valley View Center and will feature a bantamweight bout between champion Ronda Rousey and former champ Sarah Kaufman.

To date eight bouts have been confirmed for the event.
