Strikeforce has added another bout to its upcoming January 7th event in Las Vegas, as the promotion has confirmed that Bobby Green will take on lightweight Alonzo Martinez on the preliminary card.

Green (17-5) has scored back-to-back submission wins over Charon Spain and most recently James Reese, after losing a tightly contested, split decision to “JZ” Cavalcante in July. The former King of the Cage champ has gone 3-2 in his last five fights.

Martinez (35-15-1) will make his Strikeforce debut having gone 8-2 in his last 10 fights. Most recently, at a Ressurection Fight Alliance event on December 16th, the veteran won via verbal submission over Mario Ramos.

The January 7th Strikeforce event will be hosted by The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, and will feature a middleweight title fight between champion Luke Rockhold and UFC vet Keith Jardine.

Other main card bouts scheduled for the event include “King Mo” Lawal vs. Lorenz Larkin, Robbie Lawler vs. Adlan Amagov, Tyron Woodley vs. Jordan Mein and Tarec Saffiedine vs. Tyler Stinson.

The card will be broadcast on Showtime.
