From the event’s promoter: Super Brawl Goes "Back to the Future" at Gussie L’Mours with Amateur Trials! It all began in the back of a now infamous nightclub near the airport in 1995. Eight men, with varying weights and fighting experience stepped inside a small, 16×16 ring at Gussie L’Mours nightclub and fought in the very first Future Brawl held in Hawaii. Since that time, this small "underground" fighting event has turned into big business with crowds as large as 7500 attending shows in major arenas around the world. Well, Extreme Sports Productions, producers of the Super Brawl series of events, are holding amateur trial at the place it all began! On Tuesday night, September 25, Gussie L’Mours will host Super Brawl’s amateur trials. Interested fighters can contact T. Jay Thompson at 808.524.6062 or e-mail superbrawl@hawaii.rr.com. Standout fighters will be invited to compete in future professional Super Brawl events. As well as the amateur fights there will be special "tag-team" submission wrestling matches. Professional and amateur fighters are welcome. Two teams have already signed up, Falaniko Vitale and Anthony Torres are the first and John Crisostomo and Abe Rodrigues will also be competing. A professional bout will also be announced in the coming weeks as well as the possibility of muay-thai kickboxing matches. Tickets are expected to go fast with seating capacity of under 500. The Ultimate Fighting Championship to Air in Honolulu for the First Time in 4 Years! Gussie L’Mours nightclub, across from the Plaza Hotel, by the airport will host a closed circuit broadcast of the September 28, UFC live from the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Without a doubt, UFC’s biggest event to date and the first held in Las Vegas. The Main event will pit UFC champion Tito "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" Ortiz against Brazilian phenom Vitor Belfort. Belfort fought and won his first pro-fight in Super Brawl II at the Blaisdell Arena. Two other Championship fights will take place as well as 5 preliminary bouts. From the event’s promoter:  STEPHANE OUELLET’S OPPONENT FINALLY ANNOUNCED! JEFF DAVIS READY TO UNLEASH HIS DEMONS AT UCC 6! Montreal (Quebec) – Jeff Davis is the Mixed Martial Art (MMA) fighter that will face Top-10 ranked pro boxer Stephane Ouellet in his MMA debut. Davis is a three time UCC veteran with a record of 1-2 but still may be a bit of an unknown to many MMA and boxing fans. On October 19th, Davis will have the opportunity of a lifetime when he steps in the ring to face Stephane Ouellet at the sixth instalment if the ever popular UCC series entitled REDEMPTION. The man known as "The Possessed" started training in Kempo Karate until he earned his black belt. He went on to win a silver medal in Nic Cerio’s North American championship. Davis then decided to change styles from Karate to Kickboxing and then eventually to Muay Thai. "The Possessed" has a genuine love for MMA and says that he finds it’s the most complete sport in the world and with this sport he can release his "hate for all religions in the world…" Davis had a rough start in the UCC with his 15 seconds loss against Steve Vigneault at UCC 1. He addresses this bout by saying "…it was very bad luck but I make no excuses because Vigneault is a great fighter…". Davis second outing in the UCC was stopped short by a very controversial ending that left a bad taste in his mouth. He came back at UCC 4 with a vengeance, on that night the fans finally got to see "The Possessed" as he mounted and pounded his opponent until the referee stepped in to stop the fight. Davis feels that the UCC gave him a chance to be someone in a world of martial arts. "When I walk in the street in my hometown, everybody recognise me and this feels pretty strange. I owe a lot to the UCC…". Davis has made it clear that Stephane Ouellet is his favourite boxer but he wants to show that a boxed isn’t versatile enough and that it will be easy for him to take Ouellet out. "…the people inside of me (Legion) wants me to take his soul…". Jeff Davis is doing everything in his power to be stronger than ever for this battle. He has been training with former pro boxer Fernand Marcotte who once fought Sugar Ray Leonard. Davis exclaims, "My punches, my defence and my kicks will be ready for the bloody party on October 19th!". Soon it will be time to put the talk aside and step up to the challenge inside the Ring of FuryTM. Has Davis learned enough from his three UCC fights to overcome the seasoned Boxer?
