"NO HOLDS BARRED" ON EYADA SPORTS,
THE WEEK OF JULY 17 – 21:

by Eddie Goldman

"No Holds Barred" can be heard every Monday through Friday, 3 to 6 PM New
York time (Eastern Time – U.S.), only on eYada.com (http://www.eyada.com).

Pimpin' Ain't Easy
Monday, July 17 — Veteran UFC ring announcer and NHB insider Bruce Buffer will be performing his duties for a new fight group in Brazil called "Heroes," the brainchild of the legendary Carlson Gracie, which debuts on July 24. Today Bruce talks with us about this new venture. Also, this Thursday Dave Gomez will be putting on the latest installment of his Fight Zone show in Southgate, Michigan, and today he tells us all about it.

Tuesday, July 18 — Today we preview two shows. Tonight the IFC (International Fighting Championships) is putting on the IFC/Warriors Challenge IX show at Table Mountain Casino in Friant, CA, near Fresno, and we will speak to some of the fighters there who are getting ready to get it on. Also, Miguel Iturrate of Fightworld.com previews this Saturday’s HOOKnSHOOT "Evolution" show in Evansville, Indiana.

Wednesday, July 19 — You may have heard of the legend of Midwood High School Wrestling, that Brooklyn team that wouldn’t say die. Today we speak with its founder and longtime coach, the aptly named George Hero, along with some of the Midwood wrestlers. Also expect IFC results.

Thursday, July 20 — NHB journalist Joao Pedro Tinoco of Gracie Magazine in Brazil helps us preview the "Heroes" show, and plans to bring with him some fighters. We also will have a full recap of the IFC show with journalist Jeff Thaler.

Friday, July 21 — It’s Friday, it’s summer in New York, and that means it’s time for some freebies on "No Holds Barred." Not many things in life are truly free, but today our giveaways are, as the Queen of the UFC, Paula Romero, helps us have some fun and part with some goodies for winners of our trivia questions. We also will have more royalty on the line, as the First Lady of NHB, Phyllis Lee, speaks to us directly from Japan to help preview Sunday’s Pancrase card, including the first rounds and semifinals of this year’s Neo Blood Tournament.
