“The Voice” Schiavello Tells Nick Diaz he’s “Unprofessional” After No Showing Interview

Nick Diaz

By FCF Staff

Fans who were looking forward to Nick Diaz appearing on the interview series “The Voice Versus” may be out luck, as apparently the renowned and controversial fighter no showed a scheduled taping segment with the show’s host, Michael Schiavello.

Schiavello announed via Twitter that he was heading to Stockton this weekend to interview Diaz, however, late Monday “The Voice” tweeted:

@nickdiaz209 has no showed The Voice Versus. Nick you have let your fans down again… And me a big fan in particular. Unprofessional mate.

Diaz, who hadn’t responded to the tweet as of Tuesday morning, has missed media obligations in the past. In 2011, Diaz was stripped of an opportunity to fight for the UFC welterweight title, when he failed to attend two press conferences to promote UFC 137.

More recently, it looks as though Diaz is planning to return to the Octagon, after announcing earlier this year he would only do so if he could fight Anderson Silva or rematch Georges St. Pierre. Diaz lost by unanimous decision to St. Pierre at UFC 158 in March.
