Three More Fights Added to CW 126

Brandon Laroco vs Alex Trinidad has been added to Cage Warriors 126 on August 1st in San Diego, California.

Josh Nakagawa vs Jamie Lynch and Niko Ruiz vs Sunni Imhotep have both been added to the card as well.

Speaking on the addition of these fights to the card, Cage Warriors president Graham Boylan, said: “These fights really show the depth we have in our lightweight division.

“We’ve got some proven finisheres here too, and some classic grappler vs striker match-ups.

“The combination of styles and match-ups we have should deliver some fantastic fights.”

Brandon Laroco enters Cage Warriors with a 5-2 record and has finished three of his wins via submission.

In the opposite corner stands Alex Trinidad, who also enters Cage Warriors with a 5-2 record and has won his last two fights.

Speaking on Cage Warriors coming to San Diego for the first time, Trinidad said: “I believe this is the best show to come to San Diego in the last 10 years and I am grateful to be a part of it.”

Josh Nakagawa enters Cage Warriors with a 2-0 record and will face off with Jamie Lynch, who posses a 2-1 record and returns to action after five years out of the cage.

Talking about joining Cage Warriors and his opponent, Nakagawa said: “I’m looking forward to it, this is hands down the biggest platform I’ve had the opportunity to showcase my talent on.

“The match up excites me, he’s a game opponent from a legit but I see myself winning & I just really look forward to making a great impression & hopefully I’ll get invited to compete on a Cage Warriors show in the UK.”

Niko Ruiz vs Sunni Imhotep sees two finishers square off. Ruiz has finished both his wins by submission, while Imhotep’s own two wins come via knockout.

When asked how it felt to sign for Cage warriors and have an opponent lined up, Ruiz said: “I’m so excited to finally get a fight at free such a long lay off due to covid.

“I’m also excited to demonstrate my skills against such a game opponent and I’m looking forward to finding out who wants it more!”

Talking about his upcoming fight at CW 126, Imhotep revealed: “I’m excited to finally be able to fight after a year of trying to secure an opponent.

“I’ve been in the gym working on a lot of new skills, and I can’t wait to show them in the cage on August 1st.”
