Tim Kennedy: Vitor Belfort Shouldn’t be Treated as Legend, “He Has Been Cheating His Entire Career”

Tim Kennedy

By FCF Staff

After Vitor Belfort took out Dan Henderson last weekend, Tim Kennedy was quick to call out the middleweight fighter, and now he’s followed up with another verbal assault.

Kennedy has been an outspoken critic of testosterone-replacement-therapy users, as well as fighters who have been caught for performance-enhancing-drugs. Since Belfort fits in both of these categories, Kennedy has repeatedly said he wants to fight “The Phenom”.

After relaying he wants to fight Belfort next via Twitter earlier this week, now Kennedy has posted the following comments on Facebook:

I am asking for Vitor Belfort for my next fight. Not because he is slower and fatter (even though he is) or because he can only use slightly less steroids, but because he is treated as a legend. He has been cheating his entire career. He doesn’t deserve anything but a good ass whooping and to be stricken from the books of MMA history.

Kennedy hasn’t fought now since last September, when he incurred a controversial, stoppage loss to Yoel Romero. Kennedy is currently ranked #6 in the UFC’s 185 division, and Belfort is positioned at #4.
