Authentic Sports Management has confirmed that client, UFC vet Anthony Johnson, will make his light-heavyweight debut against Esteves Jones, under the Titan Fighting Championship banner on August 24th.

The group has also confirmed that Braulio Estima will make his MMA debut against welterweight Chris Holland, and that Junior Karanta will fight Matt Uhde, at the Titan FC 24 event.

Johnson (14-4) has elected to compete at 205 pounds after being plagued by weight cutting issues while competing at welterweight and more recently middleweight.

The explosive fighter is coming off a unanimous decision win over David Branch at Titan FC 22 in May, after being submitted by Vitor Belfort at UFC 142 in January.

“I’m excited to make my light heavyweight debut on August 24 in Kansas City for all the Titan Championship fans,” Johnson was quoted saying in a press release from his management.  “I respect my opponent, but he’s in my way to get to the top of this new division. I’m looking forward to showing everyone my strength and power at 205, and exactly what I am capable of at this weight.”

Jones (8-3) scored a first round stoppage win over Deutsch Puú in March while competing for Worldwide Mixed Martial Arts. Two of his losses to date have come against decorated King of the Cage competitor Tony Lopez.

Titan FC 24 will be hosted by the Memorial Hall in Kansas City and will be broadcast on AXS TV.
