Former TUF 16 finalist Mike Ricci got back on track last night in Kansas City, as the lightweight stopped veteran Jorge Gurgel in the opening round at Titan FC 27.

Ricci (9-4) was coming off a split decision loss to Myles Jury at UFC 165 in September, which led to his UFC release. Gurgel (14-10), meanwhile, has lost three straight after tapping out Billy Vaughan in 2011.

Here are the results from Titan FC 27, which also saw Matt Riddle submit fellow UFC vet Michael Kuiper with a second round, guillotine choke.
