Tough Times for Filho By Marcelo Alonso After not fighting in the Pride Bushido final due to a knee injury (a torn meniscus), Paulo Filho received more bad news 24 hours before having his knee surgery. His father and number 1 fan, Paulo Fernandes had chest pains and had to go to the hospital. "He wasn’t able to undergo surgery for his heart due to his kidney problems. So the doctors are taking care of his kidney first, to try to make the heart surgery after", said Filho.
