Travis Browne to Face Rob Broughton at UFC 135

Rising heavyweight Travis Browne has his next opponent lined up, as the UFC has announced that the undefeated Hawaiian fighter has agreed to face Britain’s Rob Broughton (pictured) at UFC 135 in September.
The promotion confirmed earlier today that the upcoming event, which is expected to take place on September 24th in Denver, Colorado, will be headlined by a light-heavyweight bout between champion Jon Jones and former champ “Rampage” Jackson.
Browne is coming off a devastating knockout victory over Stefan Struve at UFC 130 last month, to extend his overall record to 11-0-1. Browne holds a TKO win over James McSweeney and battled to a draw with Cheick Kongo in his other two Octagon performances.
Broughton (15-5-1) will head into the bout having won five straight fights, which includes tapping out Vinicius Kappke de Queiroz in the third round at UFC 120 in October. The Wolfslair fighter also holds wins over veterans James Thompson, Neil Grove, and Neil Wain since he turned pro in 2004.
Other bouts that have been confirmed for the UFC 135 card include Mark Hunt vs. fellow heavyweight veteran Ben Rothwell and bantamweight Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto vs. Damacio Page.
