TUF 16 Finale: Roy Nelson Takes Out Matt Mitrione, Colton Smith Wins Season

Roy Nelson once again demonstrated the punching power that has made the accomplished grappler famous, as the heavyweight put away Matt Mitrione with strikes in the first round of their TUF 16 Finale headliner.

Mitrione came out throwing hard punches and kicks at Nelson, but the TUF 16 coach continued to return fire before sending the former NFL player to the mat with a vicious combination.

In the welterweight finale for the latest season of “The Ultimate Fighter,” Colton Smith used his wrestling and a smothering grappling game to score a dominant, unanimous decision win over Mike Ricci.
