UFA Brings You “Biloxi MMA Beach Bash” at The Outdoor Mississippi Coast Coliseum

By Press Release

On Saturday August 1st, United Fight Alliance and Atlas Fights come together to bring you Atlas Fights 54, “Biloxi MMA Beach Bash” at the Biloxi Mississippi Coast Coliseum with gates opening at 7PM. This outdoor event will follow state and local guidelines for preventing the spread of Covid-19 by providing limited capacity, social distancing and encouraging the use of masks to help ensure the health and safety of fighters, attendees and staff.

In the spirit of UFC’s “Fight Island,” Atlas Fights will hold Biloxi MMA Beach Bash outdoors on the beach of Biloxi. Atlas’ previous outdoor MMA events have been a success and this event will be the perfect solution to addressing Covid19 concerns with necessary social distancing. The Mississippi Coast Coliseum will serve as a backup venue in case of rain.

Jordan “Jay” Adams, CEO of United Fight Alliance, will be on hand to call the event. “I know the fans want to get out and see more live sports and I’m glad Glenn Mattina and Atlas Fights is helping them do just that,” stated Adams. “Atlas has a deep history of bringing highly entertaining and well-matched fights. When Glenn told me he was doing a safe, outdoor show, I said ‘Perfect! I’m in!’ We have been watching the Main Event’s Levi Mowles fight for a while now. He’s won seven out of his last eight fights and you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know he has a very promising career ahead of him. We’ve been enjoying his opponent’s fights as well. He faces top prospect Jonathan Eiland. Eiland is on a 9-fight win streak and has a perfectly balanced attack. He can finish you with a wide assortment of submissions and can knock you out cold with heavy, quick hands.”

In the Lightweight Title Fight, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship veteran Michael McDonald returns to the cage for the first time in over a year to battle Omar Johnson. McDonald’s standup game is just as dangerous as his ground game as evident from his BKFC 2 victory over Charles “Felony” Bennett. If they firefight McDonald isn’t afraid to stay in the pocket. His opponent, Alabama’s 6-3 Omar Johnson, is a Bellator Veteran and a dangerous striker. Johnson went 11-0 in his first 11 fights and has scored five of his six professional victories by way of knockout.

“Atlas Fights 54, ‘Biloxi MMA Beach Bash’ is more than just another Atlas Fights show,” states Glenn Mattina, CEO of Atlas Fights. “This show is more about the resilience and passion that our Mixed Martial Arts community shares across the Gulf Region. Atlas Fights has been promoting shows for over eleven years and when opportunities present themselves to get our MMA community active once again, we believe we have the experience and the right partners to go live with MMA while adhering to the necessary social distancing and other precautions to keep our fighters and fans safe during this time.”
