UFC’s Marc Ratner Appointed Chair of IMMAF Technical Committee

The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation has announced that UFC Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Marc Ratner will chair the organization’s technical committee.
According to a press release from the IMMAF, Ratner will oversee the committee which “will have the task of researching and analyzing best practice in the area of MMA regulations for the purpose of future IMMAF recommendations and rule sets.”
Ratner, who worked for the Nevada State Athletic Commission for over 20 years, was quoted saying:
“I’m very honored to work with the IMMAF and help with formulating guidelines and instituting the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts throughout the world. As the Chairman of the Technical Committee our mission will be to have the same rules and medical standards wherever MMA is happening.”
The IMMAF is a non-profit and democratic organization which hopes to promote mixed martial arts and an overarching set of rules and regulations for the sport around the world.
The organization, which is based in Sweden, has been endorsed by the UFC.
