The Ultimate Fighting Championship has not only confirmed that the rumors of Dan Henderson being injured are true, but the promotion’s upcoming September 1st event in Las Vegas, Nevada, has been cancelled.

UFC President Dana White made the announcement Thursday morning on a media call.

Henderson has been forced to withdraw from the event due to a partially torn MCL. According to White, light-heavyweight champ Jon Jones has reportedly turned down a replacement fight with Chael Sonnen.

Jones will now fight Lyoto Machida on September 22nd in Toronto, Ontario. The event, which was called UFC 152, will now be UFC 151.
