Although Jose Aldo appeared to be well in control of his main event tilt with Chan Sung Jung tonight at UFC 163, an injury to the challenger brought the bout to an end. After Jung appeared to separate his shoulder during a striking exchange in round four, the featherweight champion swarmed in and finished “The Korean Zombie” off with strikes.

In the co-main-event, Phil Davis barely got by former light-heavyweight champ Lyoto Machida with a unanimous decision win. Although neither man appeared to be in any serious danger at any point, the elusive Machida appeared to outscore the decorated wrestler with strikes. Davis did manage to secure a couple of takedowns during the bout, however, and was awarded the decision after fifteen minutes.
