Not long after it was relayed that Jessica Eye is joining the UFC, and that Sarah Kaufman will no longer compete at UFC Fight Night 27, the promotion has announced the bantamweights will fight at UFC 166. The card will be hosted by Houston’s Toyota Center and will feature heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez taking on Junior dos Santos in the main event.

Eye (10-1) arrives in the UFC having won seven straight fights, which includes wins over vets like Carina Damm and Zoila Frausto Gurgel. The 27 year-old fighter has competed for organizations like Bellator, Ring of Combat and the North American Allied Fight Series to date.

Kaufman (16-2) was set to fight Sara McMann at UFC Fight Night 27, however, the latter was forced to withdraw due to undisclosed reasons.

Kaufman, who is a former Strikefore champ, is coming off a split decision win over Leslie Smith while fighting for Invicta FC in April. Prior to the win the 27 year-old was tapped out by Ronda Rousey, at a Strikeforce card last August.

As a result of the addition, the promotion has announced that a scheduled bout between George Roop and Francisco Rivera has been moved from UFC 166 to the November 6th, UFC Fight Night 31 card.
