Not long after Chael Sonnen and Rashad Evans agree to fight publicly, the UFC has confirmed the two will meet on November 16th as Sonnen initially proposed. The light-heavyweight bout will take place at UFC 167, which will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and will mark the promotion’s 20th anniversary.

Sonnen (28-13-1) is coming off a first round, submission win over “Shogun” Rua at UFC Fight Night 26 in August, after dropping back-to-back bouts to Jon Jones and Anderson Silva.

Evans (18-3-1) scored a split decision win over Dan Henderson at UFC 161 in June, after losing by decision to Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Jones.

UFC 167 will be headlined by a welterweight bout between champion Georges St. Pierre and John Hendricks.
